Alex Nolos is an author, editor, publisher, and drag artist from Brooklyn. A graduate of Marymount Manhattan College's English and World Literature program, he has been writing and publishing his work since 2018, landing in publications like Catapult, Hominum Journal, Bloodletter Magazine, and Bookstr.com, where he worked as a staff writer. He currently works full-time in the publishing industry, and as a volunteer for several publications. Previously, he worked as a publishing intern for Restless Books, a non-profit independent publisher based in Brooklyn.

Alex's writing originated as personal essays and pop culture articles, and has since expanded into fiction and the Substack newsletter Bratchet, as well as the Real Life Newsletter, a weekly zine for the NYC drag community. He also frequently volunteers his writing skills for non-profit organizations like the Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company, MEANS Database, and Telling Queer History. Among other achievements, in 2013, he was awarded "Best-Looking Cross-dresser" by his classmates.
